Mt. Hood Winery was founded in 2002 by brothers Steve and Don Bickford and Don’s wife, Libby. For 6 generations the Bickford family has farmed the land that now showcases our beautiful tasting room and 20 acres of estate vineyards. We opened our new hospitality venue in July of 2009 on the original homestead, within a few days of being honored with Century Farm recognition.
From ‘Vine to Bottle’ Mt. Hood Winery is a full production facility. From experienced and meticulous farming practices in the vineyard, to fine wine making expertise, bottling and sales, distinctive wines are always a priority.
Great wine begins in the vineyard. Our estate grown Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir and Riesling thrive in Mount Hood’s rich volcanic soils and the ideal growing climate of the Hood River Valley. Our Chardonnay, Gewürtztrameiner, Malbec and Syrah are hand selected from local vineyards.
